RightNow/WriteNow :: Practice

As we say in meditation, we must remember that it is a practice. This means theres no "doing right" or "doing wrong," its just doing.  We are exploring ourselves and there's no reason to judge the process. In fact, we need to learn to let the judging get out of the way.

RightNow: The next chance you get, allow yourself to turn away from all the tasks at hand. You don't have to leave them for too long; know that you will return refreshed and more efficient so it is worth the time. Close your eyes and starting to tune into the movement of your breath and the sensations on your body. Narrate your breathing by thinking to yourself, "Breathing in..." on the inhalation and, "Breathing out..." on the exhalation.  Set a timer for yourself so you don't even have to worry about time.

Notice what it's like to return to your day after this break.

WriteNow: The next chance you get, allow yourself to turn away from all the tasks at hand. You don't have to leave them for too long; know that you will return refreshed and more efficient so it is worth the time. Take out some paper and pen and just sit down and write. Allow yourself to jump from word to word or thought to thought.

Set a timer for yourself so you don't even have to worry about time.

We find that making the time for practices like these where we are really experiencing ourselves, what's going on Right Now, lets our journeys of healing and transformation unfold more effortlessly.  That's not to say there's not some struggle along the way, but we understand it more and therefore know how to move through the dance.
