Though some say it takes 21 days to form a habit, the truth is for a habit that sticks, it will take longer than that. However, we've now been at this gratitude thing for about 3 weeks now and it has become a refreshing daily practice. Admittedly, we've already missed a few, but we caught up with an extra gratitude within a few days following. And besides, who's counting anyways. The point is just to practice more gratitude.
The real benefits of this project are evident in our outlook. Slowly the clouds of judgement and disappointment (of whatever, because the mind is just so good at thinking about how anything could be better), are fading and we can more readily see the abundance of things to be grateful for right now. And we are grateful for that!
In memory of the late Wayne Dyer, we found this short video of him talking about the most simple way to consider what we are grateful for.
