Join us for an evening of joyful singing, meditation, and vegan potluck!
Kirtan is a practice of Bhakti yoga, which is the yoga of devotion. In kirtan, we sing the names of the divine, honoring the sacredness both within and without. Participants often enter deep meditative, blissful, and even ecstatic states.
There is no wrong way to Kirtan! No kirtan or singing experience is needed. Chants sheets are provided, and you can even come to just listen. Our very own Govinda Ghanta will be leading this free event on harmonium, tablas, and tambura. Have an instrument? Bring it along!
Doors open at 6pm for potluck gathering. We will begin kirtan promptly at 7pm. The event is floor seating. We ask that you bring a chair or cushion for your comfortability. If you would like to contribute to the potluck we ask that it please be vegetarian, if not vegan (desserts are always appreciated!). There is no cost for this event, but love offerings and donations are welcome.
